This category is for the most exciting tech start-ups in the region. Companies must be no more than two-years-old. Shortlisted start-ups will be invited to pitch their concept to a special panel, organised by sponsor ConnectTVT.
This award covers the rising stars of the sector – the emerging company that might be starting to scale up, or has plans to. The company might be just a few years old but is already starting to make some ‘noise’.
The award for innovation. This might be an innovative product or process, or it could be a technologically innovative way of doing business. The award will go to a company that puts innovation high on its agenda.
The award covers areas ranging from software-based and data analytics health technology to life sciences and robotics and space technology – sectors that the region is known to excel in. The winner will be building its reputation and have earned recognition for its truly innovative work in its field.
Covering the diverse world of telecoms, from mobile data to cell phones. The award is for telecoms companies that have enjoyed a spectacular year, either in terms of financial performance, market share, or products and services.

Great employers are eligible to enter this category – those that have the culture and/or physical working environment that makes them stand out from the crowd.
The award will go to a key transaction in the past 12 months – an acquisition, merger, flotation or other significant ‘event’ that has proved a successful exit for a company’s founders or will help build future growth for the business.
